Customs:
Customs clearance is crucial while entering Nepal after landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport. All your luggage/baggage mist be affirmed and cleared through the customs. Any personal goods are permitted free entry. Special custom officers are assigned at the custom to ease custom related hassles. Passengers arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport without any dutiable goods can proceed through the green channel and no custom clearance is required. If you are carrying dutiable goods then you have to pass through the red channel for custom clearance. The dutiable goods may require paying some applicable custom taxes for clearance.
Custom on Imports:
You are allowed to bring Nepal some cigarettes (200) or Cigars (50), distilled liquor (one 1.5 liter bottle), and film (15 rolls) free of duty. Binocular, movie or video camera, digital camera, laptop and portable music player are also permitted free of duty on condition that you take them out while returning back to your country.
