Bhutan and Tibet luxury tour start with arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal then flying into Paro and further proceeding to the capital –Thimphu. Explore nearby Punakha. Afterward, come back to Paro for the ever-popular hike to the Taktsang Monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ located outskirts of Paro town. It’s believed that Guru Rinpoche came here from Tibet on the back of a flying tigress in the 7th century and meditated, hence the name ‘Tiger’s Nest’. The monastery is tucked in a vertical cliff defying all engineering logic. After Bhutan, Bhutan and Tibet trip flies back to Kathmandu. The next day again fly to Lhasa to witness another great city of Lhasa. Bhutan with it’s natural beauty allures travelers from all over visiting the prime cities like Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and go for the popular Taktsang Monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ (3120m) hike outskirts Paro town. In Tibet, explore the ancient city of Lhasa visiting Potala palace, Norbulinka, Jokhang Temple etc.
Arrive at the Paro International Airport and after clearing your immigration formalities, we shall transfer you to Thimphu which is about an hours’ drive from Paro. Visit several locations in Thimphu like Buddha’s Point, Takin Preserve, Tashichoe Dzong, King’s Memorial Chorten, Centenary Market, the new authentic craft bazaar, Folk heritage museum etc.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha which is about 3 hours. Ascending upwards, you will come across Dochula pass at 3,100 meters which commands great panorama of the eastern Himalayas in a clear day. Then descend downwards to Punakha Valley; reaching closer to Punakha, take a hike to Chimi Lhakhang. It’s located amid rice fields in a hilltop and is the temple of ‘Drukpa Kuenley’. The temple is also known as fertility temple and pilgrimage site for childless couples. Later on drive to Punakha. Afternoon, visit the impressive Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of Pho-chu (male-river) and Mo-chu (female-river).

Drive back to Paro tracing the same route and again crossing over Dochula pass. In Paro, visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong. It’s also called ’the fortress of the heap of jewels’. A quick descend arrives at the covered cantilever bridge marked with giant stupas.

Early in the morning, drive towards Taktsang Monastery ‘Tiger’s Nest’ and hike upwards. For a fit hiker, it will take 2 hours after when you will get dramatic view of the monastery. It’s believed the Guru Padmasambhava came here in a flying tigress and meditated here in the 8th century. Later on visit Kiychu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Then back to Paro town for overnight stay.

Bid farewell to the Dragon Kingdom and we shall transfer you to the Paro International Airport to catch your onward flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, meet at the airport & transfer to your hotel. PM: At leisure/Free for shopping etc.

Transfer to the airport and fly to Lhasa. Upon arrival at the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, our representatives will meet you then drive to the capital of Tibet “Lhasa”. During the drive from the airport (60 km/1hr) one may view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa. The ancient city of Lhasa is situated at the banks of Kyichu River at 3,650 meters above sea-level. Upon arrival, check-in hotel and the rest at the hotel for better acclimatization.

After breakfast, our guide shall meet you at the hotel’s lobby and proceed with sightseeing around Lhasa. First it will take you the Potala palace, the winter palace of Dalai Lama. This most symbolic landmark of Tibet built atop a single hill was by the first foremost King Songtsen Gompa.The most valuable collections here are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Caveofthe-33rd-great-king-of-Tibet. Then proceed to Norbulinka which means ‘Treasure park’ and considered to be the biggest man-made garden in Tibet. It covers an area of 36,0000 sq. m. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel.

Todays, sightseeing covers Jokhang temple, Barkhor market, Sera Monastery. Jokhang temple was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in 7th century to promote Buddhism in Tibet. Inside the temple is the statue of Lord Buddha at an age of twelve which is perhaps the most idolized object in Tibetan Buddhism. Closer to Jokhang temple is the Barkhor street/market where one can do the kora (a religious circulation of the temple) with pilgrims and locals. Meanwhile, you can hunt for souvenirs at the market. Sera monastery is located 5 km north of Lhasa and it’s setting is one of the beautiful one. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here but later on extinguished by the Chinese. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel.
