Chitwan Luxury Tour is a relaxing safari at one of Asia’s finest wildlife reserves, the Chitwan National Park. The park is located in the Terai plains of Nepal. With a total area of 932 sq. km, there is abundant wildlife with many different species of butterflies, insects and over 450 sorts of colorful and endangered birds. The park is home to one-horn rhino, deer, sloth bears, leopards, Royal Bengal Tiger, crocodiles, monkeys. Chitwan National Park is declared a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1979. Chitwan can be reached either by land or flight from Kathmandu. It’s 20 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur, Chitwan. Overland from Kathmandu to Chitwan is about 5-6 hours and the same from Pokhara. One can also fly from Pokhara to Chitwan. During jungle safari in Chitwan national park, you will stay at the luxury lodges amid the wilderness of the sub-tropical jungle.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Chitwan

Drive to Chitwan (5 hours approx from Kathmandu/4 hours approx from Pokhara) Alternatively, you can fly to Chitwan/Bharatpur from Kathmandu which takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the resort/hotel – lunch and visit the Tharu village escorted by your nature guide. Then visit elephant stable for a short briefing on elephants by the naturalist. Then proceed to sunset viewpoint. Evening: Tharu Cultural Show. Overnight at Hotel/Resort in Chitwan.

Day 2In Chitwan – Continue Jungle Activities

The entire day is spent in activities like canoe ride in the Rapti River observing the aquatic birds and other mammals at the river bank. Jungle Walk with your experienced nature guide to trace animals. Then go for Jeep Drive which goes through the grasslands, deep in the jungle & then later on back to resort. Overnight at Hotel/Resrot in Chitwan.

Day 3In Chitwan – Continue Jungle Activities

Today is elephant safari on the back of a trained elephant exploring the grasslands and core area of the park. During safari, you will trance many animals, birds and it doesn’t take long to spot at least a rhino. Overnight at Hotel/Resort in Chitwan.
