What to Expect

India and Nepal luxury tours are witnessing different cultures and traditions of two countries in South Asia. Begin the tour in India with often also popularly known as the ‘Golden Triangle tour’ of Delhi, Jaipur & Agra then head out to the ancient city of Varanasi. Itinerary

Day 1Arrive New Delhi

Upon arrival at the Indira Gandi International- New Delhi, our representatives will meet you then transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival at hotel, they shall also briefed you about your tour. Today’s Delhi sightseeing includes visits to India Gate, Parliament Street, Akshardham temple ‘Swaminaryan temple’ and several other landmarks. Afterwards, return back to hotel.

Day 2In Delhi- Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed with sightseeing the Old and New Delhi. Begin from Qutub Minar complex which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; inside the complex you will come across ‘Ashoka Pillar’ and of course Qutub Minar. Then move towards Humayun’s tomb, a historical place. Then take a short break at the Connaught place, explore around the market area. You will then go to Raj Ghat (it’s the location where ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi was laid down) and Shakti peeth (place for late prime minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi). Chandni Chowk will be reached in the evening, an old local ethnic Indian market where local dresses and artificial jewellery are on sale. Later on back to hotel.

Day 3New Delhi – Jaipur

Today is drive from Delhi to Jaipur along the Delhi Jaipur highway. Jaipur will be reached in the late evening. Lunch on the way and upon reaching hotel, relax and take a rest. The driving hour today is about 6-7 hours.

Day 4In Jaipur - Sightseeing

Jaipur, a city of hussle and bussle and full of life, is also known as the pink city of Rajasthan. After breakfast, the first sightseeing destination is the Hawa Mahal – the honeycombed 5 storied building with a different kind of architecture. It was built basically for the Royal ladies to see the city life from its’ windows without being seen. The city of Jaipur holds some of the great historical building like Jantar Mantar, City palace, Lake palace and Raj Mandir.
You will begin from visit to Amber fort with uphill elephant ride and witness the history as it unfolds. Then go to Lake palace including Jantar Mantar – the largest observatory of India. Visit Raj Mandir complex and in the evening visit the local ethnic market called Babu market. Then return to hotel.

Day 5Jaipur – Agra

Today proceed towards Agra – the eternal city of love epitome. Agra will be reached at the early first half of the day then you will go straight to Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal greets you with it’s spectacular beauty with it’s white marble carved out in the form of a beautiful mausoleum. It’s been said that it’s color changes with the changing weather. In the evening, a roundabout tour of Sadar Bazaar where one can shop for local souvenirs including mini Taj Mahal. Afterwards, back to hotel.

Day 6In Agra - Sightseeing

After a lazy breakfast, continue the sightseeing with visit to the Red Fort of Agra. Agra Red Fort is huge with lot to see like Deewane Khaas, Dewane Aam, frescos, inlay works and lot other. At a location at the Agra Fort, you can see the place from where Shah Jahan used to watch Taj Mahal. You can enjoy the ethnic food and explore around Sadar Bazaar later on. Evening take a rest at the hotel.

Day 7Agra – Jhansi – Orchha

Orchha locate just barely at 4 & half hour’s drive from Agra is a heavenly destination. It’s one destination which states Madhya Pradesh architecture incomparably. It has got a number of Chhatris or Cinopaths which look like touching the sky from a distance. It was built in 9th century and after that there has been unequivocal mix of Mughal and Indian architecture. Some of it’s unique structures include Chaturburj temple, Laxmi Temple, Raj Mahal, Sunder Mahal/Palace Orchha Palace cortile and Uth Khana. If you believe Ghost stories then Orchha happens to be one of the Ghost palaces in India.

Day 8Orccha – Khajuraho

Khajuraho is the city of temples and just 3 hours drive from Orchha, so being the tour after breakfast. Upon reaching Khajuraho, check-in hotel and take a little rest/lunch. Then on visit the Khajuraho temple made on the lines of 64 pada grid design which is known for it’s erotic designs and unique stone work architecture. Some of the interesting place will be Shantinath Temple, Magic Square at Parshavnath Temple, Kandariya Mahadev temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. Khajuraho Temples are considered UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 9Khajuraho – Varanasi

Our next destination is the holy city of Hindus ‘Varanasi or Benaras. It’s the place where ashes are flown in the Holy Ganges and prayers are spelt all around. As you walk along the river Ghats of Varanasi one can find many chanting Sanskrit Slokas. Today, you will fly from Khajuraho to Varanasi.

Day 10In Varanasi - Sightseeing

Get up early to visit the Dashashwamedh Ghat which is the main ghat of Varanasi. You can experience it’s peacefulness and watch the sunrise. If you feel then you can even take a holy dip in the Ganges river here. Then go for a boat ride along the Ganges River. After visiting the ghat, go straight to Sarnath – place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after achieving enlightenment. Later on visit Vishwanath temple and in the evening watch the spectacular ‘Ganga Aarti’ as well as explore around the local market.

Day 11Varanasi – Chitwan

Today is leaving India and entering Nepal with driving from Varanasi to Gorakhpur and towards Sunauli, the border-town in between India and Nepal. After completing the visa formalities at the Sunauli you will further drive to Chitwan. Upon arrival at the resort/hotel – lunch and visit the Tharu village escorted by your nature guide. Then visit elephant stable for a short briefing on elephants by the naturalist. Then proceed to sunset viewpoint. Evening: Tharu Cultural Show.

Day 12In Chitwan - continue jungle safaris

Today is elephant safari on the back of a trained elephant exploring the grasslands and core area of the park. During safari, you will trance many animals, birds and it doesn’t take long to spot at least a rhino.

13Chitwan – Pokhara (Drive/Flight)

Early in the morning, go for bird watching. More than 500 species have been recorded only in Chitwan like Cormorants, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Blue Indian Roller, Hornbills etc. Afterwards, drive or fly to Pokhara – the lakeside town and the nature wonder of Nepal.

14In Pokhara – Sarangkot Sunrise & Pokhara City Tour

Wake up early in the morning and set-off to Sarangkot, the Himalayan vantage-point to witness spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. Upon reaching a little walk is required to reach it’s vantage-point. Sarangkot provides magnificent panorama of the Annapurna range, Fishtail. Then return back to hotel. The day is then spent on Pokhara City Tour visiting many exotic locations like Bindabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave – the longest cave in south Asia and many more. Also visit World Peace Stupa located atop hill providing good view of the Fewa Lake and the Pokhara Valley. Then also visit Tibetan Refugee Camp, the residence of the exiled Tibetans. In the evening, boating at the Fewa Lake and visit the lakeside area where numerous restaurants are located.

Day 15Pokhara - Kathmandu (Drive/Flight)

After breakfast, drive or fly to Kathmandu. If by overland drive option is chosen then you will drive along small towns, alongside rivers, farmlands with spectacular Nepalese countryside which is about 5-6 hours drive. By flight is just about 25 minutes. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check-in hotel and the rest of the time is free to explore.

Day 16In Kathmandu – Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed with Kathmandu sightseeing tour with your private guide. Visit the cultural, religious and historical monuments which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath ‘the Monkey Temple’, Pashupatinath- the sacred temple of Hindus and Boudhanath Stupa- one of the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world. Kathmandu Durbar Square has several age-old temples, palaces, shrines and was the center of power from where king ruled the nation in the earlier period. Swoyambhunath is located atop hill and provides spectacular panorama of the entire Kathmandu Valley. Lots of monkeys reside in it’s forested area thus the name ‘Monkey Temple’. Pashupatinath is the temple of Lord Shiva located at the holy Bagmati River. Closer by is the Boudhanath Stupa. After finishing the tour, return back to hotel.

Day 17Kathmandu – Depart

Our representative shall transfer you back to the international airport for your onward flight. You need to be three hours prior your flight and we exchange our goodbyes. Have a safe journey back home!
