Nagarkot Dhulikhel Hike is an exciting day hike done inside the Kathmandu Valley. You will hike along lush green forests, hamlets and witnessing great mountain panorama far behind. Nagarkot to Dhulikhel day hike starts from Nagarkot, the most popular Himalayan view-point all the way towards another popular hill station, Dhulikhel. Nagarkot is located about 32 kilometers from the Kathmandu City. Nagarkot offers spectacular Himalayan panorama in a clear weather. This includes Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Numbur range including Mt. Everest.
Dhulikhel is located in Kavre district. It is a medieval town where age-old culture and traditions can be observed. Himalayan view from Dhulikhel is spectacular. When a blue haze covers the lower portion of the mountains, the Himalayas above looks like they are floating in the air. One can notice various mountains from Dhulikhel. These includes Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal (7429 m), Mt. Langtang (7234 m), Mt. Phuribichyachu (6637 m), Mt. Gaurishanker (7134 m), Mt. Lhotse (8516 m) and many others during Nagarkot to Dhulikhel hike.
Nagarkot Dhulikhel Hiking starts after driving to Nagarkot from Kathmandu. Drop-off at the trek-start-point. Then trek starts passing over small villages, farmlands, lush green forests. The trail crosses places like Rhonnie Bhanjyang, Kankre, Tanchok. Finally arrive Dhulikhel and time for good photographic opportunities. Afterwards, meet the vehicle and transfer back to Kathmandu.

Nagarkot Dhulikhel Hike is an easy hiking done inside the Kathmandu Valley. During the hike, you will visit two most popular Himalayan viewpoints, Nagarkot & Dhulikhel. Both are closer to the Kathmandu City. In a clear day, great Himalayan panorama can be witnessed from it’s vantage-point including Mt. Everest.
Meet at your hotels’ lobby then drive to Nagarkot and start the hike initially passing through pine forest alongside road head. The hike goes along beautiful countryside, villages (especially of Tamang community), small tea-shops, farmlands etc. The trail passes along Rhonnie Bhanjyang, Kankre, Tanchok; en-route witnessing spectacular panoramas of the mountains like Gauri Shankhar, Dorje Lhakpa. Upon arrival at Dhulikhel, admire another majestic Himalayan views and the valley below from it’s hilltop. Nagarkot Dhulikhel hike ends with driving back to Kathmandu.
